You are exactly who, what, and where you are supposed to be. And you are lovely.

About Me...

Welcome and thank you for taking the time to peruse my site. To virtually introduce myself, I am a child, adolescent, and adult therapist practicing in Austin, TX at Austin Family Counseling.

I am originally from Texas, but I moved to South Carolina in 2004 to attend undergrad at Furman University. I graduated in 2008, majoring in both Sociology and Religion. Since then, I have completed a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and graduated from Mercer University in May 2014. While in school, I completed an internship at Safepath Children's Advocacy Center in Marietta, GA practicing play therapy with children who have experienced sexual abuse. I also started in private practice with TRU Integrative Health and Wellness in Atlanta in 2013. After two years there, I moved back to my home state and landed here in Austin where I joined Austin Family Counseling in 2016.

Since starting in private practice in 2013, I’ve had the pleasure of working with a wide range of clients from children to teens to young adults, parents, and couples.

As a therapist, it is my belief that each individual child or adult has the innate power within themselves to grow. I love having a job that means I can be along for the ride as clients learn more about themselves and decide how to work towards a more meaningful, happy, and fulfilling life. I never profess to be an expert on any individual, seeing as we each have a unique set of experiences in life. Instead, I just feel grateful to assist and support clients on their own personal growth journey.
